MUFA Types & Amounts
Please note that if you add these to your diet without controlling calories (and perhaps observing other good nutritional principles) they will probably result in weight GAIN. These are one key to the Fat Belly Diet, there is much more to it than just eating MUFAs. These need to be eaten with protein. Any food that causes cravings is something you are sensitive to and probably best avoided.
Nuts/seeds - 2 Tablespoon
raw or dry roasted, unsalted
Oils - 1 Tablespoon
1 Olives - 10 olives or 2 Tablespoons Tapenade
Avocado - 1/4 cup
Chocolate - 1/4 cup
semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (207)

Tomorrow starts my JS. I have my sassy water in the fridge and all the food that I will need for the next 4 days. I will weigh myself in the morning and then again on Tuesday morning.
While I can't say I'm looking forward to it, I'm excited about losing this bloated oompa loompa like felling I have.

If you just joined the on line Flat Belly site, the program is on there. It's kind of confusing but you just have to look around, you'll find it, all the menu's and help you need. The group here at 3FF is just a support site.

Hi, Danemom! I'm so happy to see another FBD on 3FC! I'm just finishing day 8 and feeling much better, down a solid 5.8 pounds (as of this morning), having gained some water weight back after the jumpstart. I'm very happy with it and feeling grrrrreat! LOL
Keep us posted, please!

Hi, Rosie! Welcome to 3FC!
The jumpstart we are referring to is the first four days of the "Flat Belly Diet Plan" by Prevention Magazine. I don't think you will find instructions for it anywhere else.
There is lots of good info and support here on lots of diets. I'm doing the Flat Belly Diet for several reasons, and, come to think of it you can find a little more info and a link to it in my diet-blog, which you should be able to link to on the left here.
Let us know how you are doing, please! Don't try to figure it all out at once! There is a lot here!

You can also google Flat Belly Diet and find many sites with instructions, the 4 day jump start, etc. I saw the 4 day jump start and recipe for sassy water on MDFlatBellyDiet.

Hey, everone!
danemom, how's it going?
I'm on day 10, which is day 6 of the 28 day plan. I'm feeling GREAT!
I have to tell you it has been a little hectic with all the setting menus and shopping lists, shopping, fixing, logging foods, and then Saturday I started back on my fitness plan (very gradually).
With the challenge of a wonky keyboard I am really struggling to get around to doing any posting.
The last two days I was a little overwhelmed and even though I had bought the foods and made the menus by mealtime I felt so rushed I just grabbed some things. I didn't do badly, though, and I'm feeling better and doing much better today.
Sunday I wore a new dress that was definitely looser than when I bought it 10 days ago. =D
I'm really excited about the long term and seeing that I can use this to change how I eat.
Anybody else doing this plan? I've lost 5+ solid pounds!

Mufa at the same time??? Combined diets???
Do we have to eat the mufas at the ((same time)) with our meal OR can we have it right after like a dessert? Also has anyone combined weight watchers or the south beach diet with this? Thanks

I remember reading in a magazine article about MUFAs several ears ago that you need good protein with the MUFA for it to work this way. In other words, just eating chocolate or avocado by itself wouldn't do the trick.

Also, I understand that eating anything late a night we put on more than twice as many fat calories as eating the same food during the day.

OMG the 4 day JS was a bear, but I made it. Down 4 lbs and 1 inch in my waist. Got my sister on it also.
What I am most happy about is that I am finally able to wear clothes that I haven't worn in a year.
That and I made it to onderland.
