Mufas are monounsaturated fatty acids (good fats) like olive oil, olives, walnut oil, flax seed oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, dark chocolate, avocados, almonds, macadamian nuts, peanuts, cashews, brazil nuts, peacans, walnuts, etc...

So is this the same as the monounsaturated fat diet my brother told me about?
How many grams of MUFA do I need to eat at each meal?

I tried this diet earlier in the year and hated it. The SASSY water is disgusting.

You don't have to use the Sassy water. It's just a suggestion.

I just found this thread which is great because I started the Flat Belly diet a couple weeks ago. Having good luck so far. How is everyone on here doing with it?

I've done the first 4 days of the regime, lost 1 pound
I like the sassy water
Diane, there is a vegetarian section in the book not sure about what you'd do in the first 4 days though.

I did not completely follow the diet, but I did incorporate MUFAs and the basic principles into my lifestyle. I continue to do so - even throughout maintenance.
And - yes - I have been a vegetarian for 27 years.

Not sure if anyone will respond since this thread is so old but I am hoping someone does.
I am on day one of the FBD and so far so good. I have a quick question to ask those that have been on this new way of life. After the 4 day jump start do you continue to make the sassy water.
THANKS ladies....If anyone is still on the FBD and would like a new buddy I would be very interested!
HUGS

Hi! I am no longer "on" the FBD because I am on Weight Watchers, although the principles from FBD are easy to apply to WW. Anyway, I was on the FBD last year for a month or so and it worked great while I was on it. (I can't remember exactly why I stopped, I think I got derailed when I had some visitors and then never got back on).
As far as the sassy water, I don't think you need to make it beyond the 4 day jumpstart. In fact, if you are not liking it I see no reason you need to drink it at all. Just drink lots of water, maybe squeeze some lemon into it, and that should suffice.
