LAWL Newbie Here!!!

  • My name is Carol and I live in Texas. I started LAWL on 1.11.08 at a weight of 267.5. I go to the center three times a week. I bought the cookbook and was not blown away by the contents and was told to go to this site. I have reviewed quite a few recipes and read quite a few postings and have so many questions. So many of you are not doing lites...that is not an option at my clinic. It is required. Is there anyway around it?
I am also looking for any casserole dishes...any good ones? Thanks for your advice.
  • Lites are not required. Sounds like they're not being honest with you. They played on the fact that you didn't know any better. However, they won't "guarantee" their program if you don't lites.
  • Welcome Carol! Glad you're here. Feel free to post early and often!
  • Welcome Carol! I cannot handle soy, so I do not do lites. They cannot make you. If you want tell them that you have IBS and the lites are killing you.
  • Hi Carol,

Welcome. I am pretty new around here too. Here is what I have been told at my centre. If you do the lites you can use the gurantee at the end should you meet your goal. No lites, no guarntee. They will try and push you into the lites as they make a commission off every product they sell in the clinic
  • Thanks for the comments. I asked the center about the lites thing and they told me that they help you stay on plan and that they help with the skin elasticity issue. Not sure what to do...but they are expensive!!!!
I look forwarding talking to you all more on here! I need the encouragement at times!
  • You are doing great Carol. Keep up the good work! And dont let them bully you into the lites! They cannot make you buy them!
  • Thank you.
Where would I find some good casserole recipes?
  • Have you checked the recipe threads? They are the "sticky" threads at the top of the LAWL home page here on 3FC.
  • Yes, I have looked through them. But they didn't have "sticky" written beside them. I'll look through them some more. I need some things I can make ahead and cut a portion of and heat and run. My life is so hectic with my kids in basketball, cub scouts, after school functions, getting ready to start baseball, etc. Same story as most, but I was just thinking it might be easier to make a casserole and freeze some of it and grab and run. Thanks!!!
