Hi Jamie! WElcome back!

First question is how tall are you?

I was on Red w/lites (2.5p, 4v, 3fr, 1fa, 3s, 1D) and swtiched myself to Purple recently....it did not work! I was so frustrated, so now I am back on red and waiting to see if that does the trick. Lynn (who recently hit goal!!) helped me to realize I probably shouldn't move to purple considering my height and busy schedule. She reccommended Blue, which is Red with an extra veggie, but I've had so much trouble doing 5vs that I've pretty much been doing red.

Especially since you are just starting back my instinct is to have you start on Red. But I have not been doing this very long and hopefully the experienced pros will chime in!

Hi Amy,

The protein sizes are smaller on blue than on red.

Blue is 2.5 proteins (1 protein = 3 oz cooked beef; 5 oz cooked chicken; 1/2C egg beaters; 4 oz cooked fish; 4 oz cooked turkey; 4 oz canned tuna; 1 veggie burger, 2T RF peanut butter
3 veggies
3 fruits
3 starches
1 dairy
1 fat
2 la lites

So Amy, with the protein size drop on blue, I am re-thinking my advice to you and I agree that you should try red with lites again like you are doing.

Hope this helps.

Lynn

Hi Jamie,
From the info I have right now from you, I agree with Amy that you would be on red. Take care and keep posting...... Start back and let's go from there.

Oh I had no idea Lynn, thanks! I'm still plugging along on red....we'll see if I have a loss soon, but nothing so far. I had an off weekend so I'm going to get back to POP this week (so far so good) and see if the scale moves. If not, maybe I should consider moving to blue?

I agree about Red w/ lites. Start today..........don't wait. It feels so good once you are back OP
Oh, and red is the same portion sizes as purple.....with a one more 1/2 protein. Here are the exchanges:
2 1/2 P
4 V
3 F
3 S
1 D
1 Fa
2 lites
