Hi, I have a question about protein. I had a friend in college who lost about 160 pounds since he graduated high school. One of the things he said he does is drink protein shakes right before bed. He said they don't advise you to do that, but it worked so well for him. Now, I'm not going to run out and do that, but I thought that was interesting. Is that even healthy?
Now onto my question: what is protein? I sound like some 6 year old asking her mother, but I honestly don't understand what it is and why I need it. And furthermore, does more protein help with losing weight? And one last question: how much should I have a day, and how much is TOO much protein (if there is such a thing)?
