Will this work?? - 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

Hey Ladies and Gents!!

Eventually I want to join up with your group. Almost a year ago I joined LA Weightloss. I paid for the weeks and maintainence weeks and everything. Anywho, I got sick and did not have much dedication to the program. Six months ago when I finished radiation, I called them. The center did not want me to attempt to use their program until I had been finished with radiation for 6 months. That was back in March AND 70 pounds ago! I have been calorie counting. I am getting a release from my Dr. and I can now do the program! I haven't lose weight for the last couple weeks on my own so I think it is about time to let LA Weight Loss work their magic. Well, my main question is do you think I can really lose weight on the program AFTER being on a 1400 calorie diet? Could I still lose alot on that jump start program?? Any pointers??

Hello Ann,
First of all, congratulations on your 70 lb weight loss! That is fantastic!!! It must be such a relief to feel better and get the "ok" from your doctor!!! I think that you should do fine with LAWL. I personally think that the "change" in your eating -- lighter carbs, etc. will keep your numbers going down. It might take a couple of weeks for your body to respond to the new plan, but stick with it, it will work!!! Best of luck on your journey and check in here often!! This is a wonderful support group!!!

I agree Ann. Congrats on beating the big C! The 70 pound loss on top of that! Wow! Give it a try. I am sure it will help.

Ann - Congratulations on being able to lose so much on your own. This program should work wonderfully for you to get those last lbs off, good luck!

I have to say that I'm glad to hear that your center was concerned enough about your health to suggest you wait to join the program. I know it probably wasn't what you wanted to hear at the time but we hear so much about the centers being out to make a buck. This at proves that at least this one center is concerned about overall health and not just the $$.

Ann, You might not see such a large initial loss, because you've been dieting for awhile already, but at least the support and encouragement and accountability of going to the COD will keep you going, and keep you losing.
80 pounds is an impressive amount already, that is impressive, especially since you've battled health problems at the same time.

Anyway, I do believe the program works. If you don't lose it one way, they will adjust the program until you start to see results.

Ann............I totally think LAWL will work for you. It is such a healthy plan....with lots of fresh foods

Thanks everyone for your support!! Your encouragement tells me I am going in the right direction. I will be going to the center either this month or the next (scheduling conflicts). You all are doing so well yourselves...that is proof enough. Keep up the good work!!
