Red face Oriental Salad

This was one of my favorite recipes to take to parties. It is to die for so I asked the LA chef convert it for me. So here it is try it and let me know how you like it.

LA Exchange: 2 Vegetables, 1 Fat, 1 Condiment

Serving Size: about 1 1/4 cups

Makes: 8 Servings

1 (16 oz) package coleslaw mix
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1/2 cup sunflower seeds (no shells)
1/4 cup sliced almonds
2 oz dry Chinese noodles such as Asian Gourmet ( I have made this without the noodles)
4 Tbsp vegetable oil
4 Tbsp low sodium broth
1/2 of 1/3 cup vinegar
1/4 cup Splend

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and toss well.

This recipe looks so similar to an oriental slaw one I haven't made in awhile--it uses ramen noodles. Looks like a very "fun" way to get some vegetables in!!! Thanks!!!

This is the oriental slaw with the ramen noodles but wheen I sent it to the LA chef they exchanged the ramen with the chinese noodles which I couldn't find at the time so I just leave them out now. It tastes just as good.
