Question does anyone have experience w/ the Stillman diet?

I am new to 3FC and haven't seen anything about Dr. Stillman's diet plan. I am wondering if anyone has tried it. My MIL just lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks eating salad and popcorn. Anyway, if you know about this one or have tried it, please let me know what you think of it. Apparently there are YES foods and NO foods lists. Thanks. Sonie

the Stillman diet that I am familiar with is the "Doctors Quick Weight Loss Diet"...there is NO salad or popcorn in it...you eat ONLY lean meat and fish..NO added fats...condiments (such as hot sauce, catsup, cocktail sauce, NO MAYO) in moderation, lowfat cottage cheese....and that's about it...

He co-wrote more than one book, but this is the diet he was most famous for...

it is great for plateaus and to kick off weight loss because it is so fast, but it really can't be used for long term dieting..

the book is considered rare and sells for 28 bucks on Amazon for a paperback in ok condition...

here is a link to the diet alone:

Thank you for responding. I am on my way to the website to try and devise a plan. I love your user name and tag line under it. I think that weight loss is the hardest thing in the world, but I am so tired of not knowing that person in the mirror and I have just had enough. From the amount of posts you have, it seems like you have been on line a while. Are you finding it helpful? I need to find something to give me some results (hopefully quick) so that I am inspired to stick w/ it. Hope to hear from you again as it looks like we may have some things in common. We have the same goal weight!
