It's always been my understanding that you move up one plan when you lose the lites. It just so happens that you don't change protein level from gold to green.

Sorry gold is 2 Proteins, 3V, 2 Fruit, 1 Dairy, 1 Fat, 2 Starches. Regarding the lites, they have been my "ace in the hole". Many a day, I have been able to pass by desserts, snacks, cakes, tortes, wedding cake and you name it because I had my own treat, a lite. If when I reach my goal and go through stablization and maintenance and end up needing a lite substitute for the rest of my life, so be it. It is a small price to pay for better health and a thinner body.

I've never understood how they bump you up to a plan that has more V & F - when bars are P & S - complex carbs at that.

Green is the lowest you can go in the weight loss phase, so they couldn't take away more protein or starches. Most people don't end up on green unless they can't lose the last few pounds on gold. So when they were designing the plan they couldn't take away much more, so green lost a fruit and veggie. That's why when you go up a plan you only "get" a fruit and a veggie.

There is gold and gold II, but I do not know all of the details.
Also...........some of the things with LAWL don't seem to make sense.......but as Cassi has mentioned before (and she is NOT paid to say this), don't fight the program........if you're going to do it........do it........there are a ton of success stories. When I first started, I was the worst about this. I am the kind of person who needs to know why.....and I have a science background, so that only made matters worse. I think it is good to ask questions.........but some things just don't add up all the time........but it still works

My mental lapse. Gold is 3 fruits. You are right.

The lites are expensive but totally worth it to me. I have a morning sweet tooth and these are better for me than the donut I was having every morning.

It is when I try to economize and not eat my bars or just eat one a day that I begin to fall way off plan. they really keep me focused. and as far as to not having them when I hit goal. I may not buy LAWL bars but I can always throw a slimfast bar or a luna in my purse. probably would be a good idea to always have a bar for a snack to keep me going then too.

Lettie - So when you "economize" and save the $1.50/bar you end up spending $5.00 at the drive thru, right? That was the same logic I used when I decided to do the bars. I figured I would be saving the $$$ from not eating junk.

All, thanks for posting about this. It came at the perfect time. I am just going in today for my bulk lites pitch. Luckily my COD is having a 40% off sale this week so that is less than the bulk price. Funny, last Thurs I asked her if they would have other lites specials after my opportunity to bulk and she said no. Tues I went in and they had the special on the board. The regional sales rep was there and said it’s a “once a year” promo. (I didn’t argue about it but I am skeptical.) I plan to purchase lites to get through weight loss and stabilization. They are nearly the same price as LUNAs now.

Okay, I'm glad it's not just my tastebuds! They look different, the packaging is a little different, and the texture is different too... I'm not thrilled, because that was the only flavor I was using...
