Question Need help figuring out values for McDonald's salads

Has anyone tried the new Southwest salad that McDonald's carries? It's REALLY good and I'm craving one but I don't know how to count it. Does anyone know????? Their Asian salad is very good also and I could use help figuring that one out also. When I asked at my COD they just told me to "count it as a regular salad" whatever that means, which wasn't any help.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Stupid COD!! If you are a member, TELL your COD to please ask the LAWL dietician what the exchanges are for the SW salad. Simple as that.
I have had the SW salad and love it. I ordered it with a light dressing on the side and it was so good. I counted it as a protein, a starch (because of the corn and beans) and 2 Vs. (My membership to LAWL has expired and I'm trying this on my own right now so I can't ask for the dietician's help).

The Asian Salad counts as 1 protein and 3 veggies (this is according to a new Gold plan book) and of course, do NOT use the full fat dressings....ask for a FF dressing or a light dressing on the side.

Thanks Joni! I believe both of those salads do come with a lite dressing, which I do put on the side and use just a tiny portion of. Next time I weigh in, I'll ask them for the dietician's help in counting it and let you know if it's anything different. The way you count it sounds about right though. Thanks again!

I'll ask the dietician about the SW salad, but for the asian one I just cut up the chicken and then put the lid back on and shake it all up. The orange glaze gets all over everything and you can get away without any additional dressing.
