Lightbulb Party this Saturday. Thoughts?

So, I am hosting an Aloette Party this Saturday. I am always hosting some sort of party, (Partylite, Pampered Chef, Boyds Bears) and I always cook lots of goodies, and bake a cake. (I love to bake!). Well I've decided for this party, I am going to make everything LAWL friendly, so that I can actually enjoy the food that I spent all day cooking!

Any thoughts on favorite recipes?

If the weather is going to be cool... Make up a big pot of the LAWL New England style Clam Chowder..

Make some salmon and serve it on lite bread toast rounds...

Meatballs made with ground turkey, served in a homemade spaghetti sauce using either diced fresh or low sodium canned tomatoes..

Liz's fav... LAWL cheesecake.. According to her, it tastes as good as the real thing.. Get some frozen strawberries and macerate (sp?) them with spenda as a topping...

Good luck!!

First, what's an Aloette party?

from Deb's cookbook:
Tuna Cheese Spread-1/2PC
Ingredients:

1 package (8 oz) reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
1 can (6 oz) tuna, drained and flaked
1/2 cup finely sliced green onions
1/4 cup light mayonnaise
1 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 tsp curry powder
Dash salt

Preparation:

In a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients; mix well. Refrigerate. Spread on bread or crackers as desired.

Makes: 2 cups; 8 servings
Serving size: about ¼ cup
LA Exchange: ½ Protein, 1 Condiment

Cashew Chicken Salad-PVFaC
Ingredients:

1/4 cup fat-free sour cream
1 tbsp light mayonnaise
1/4 tsp curry powder
2 cups chopped roasted skinless, boneless chicken breasts (about 2 breasts)
1/3 cup chopped celery
2 tbsp chopped dry-roasted cashews
1 tbsp finely chopped green onions

Preparation:

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring until well blended. Add chicken, celery, cashews, and green onions; stir well.

Makes: 2 servings
Serving size: 1/2 recipe
LA Exchange: 1 Protein, 1 Vegetable, 1 Fat, 1 Condiment
