Question Quick Lunch HELP NEEDED Please

If I take 3 stalks of celery and chopped them up and saute in Pam Cooking Spray and put my tsp of butter on them when they are done (if needed or wanted) will that count as 1 veggie and 1 fat?

Or does the Pam Cooking Spray change the count?

Thank you!

Pam is "free" provided you use a 1 second spray or so. It actually has about 20 calories for a 1 second spray (something like that, you can check their website), so as long as you don't "coat" the pan, you're ok and its 1V,1Fa

Oh thank you!! Lunch is calling and I have decided plain celery just doesn't taste very good unless you get to the center and eat the celery hearts. I was looking for another way to eat it and I know I love it sauted. I also love it with a whole lot of cream cheese, but I can only have 1 TBSP. That's not quite enough to cover 3 whole stalks of celery.

Hey, on the topic of today's lunch and help needed, I just got back from a lunch meeting where I ate the following and need to know how I should count it (I have an idea, but don't want to be kidding myself, and yeah, I already know I shouldn't have had the chips, heh.):

Half of a sandwich wrap - had some turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a little mayo in it, all wrapped in some sort of red colored tortilla
Small handful of kettle chips
Salad (1V, that's easy)
3/4 c veggie and pasta soup, kind of minestrone-like, but with pasta

I DID skip the dessert, at least. I was thinking I'd count this as 3S, 1P, 2V, 1Fa....does that sound right? Should I say 2 Fats?

It puts me over by one starch, bleh.

I'm to new to help you with that one. Hopefully someone with more experience will jump in here. Good luck.

Megan - I think you're doing OK. Yeah, probably two fats, but considering the options you did really well. Just add a mug of HLW and if you're POP the rest of the week (unless you WI tomorrow morning), you should be good. Congrats on the good choices, though. Sometimes you need to try a few chips to get it out of your system.

Thanks, Cassi...This puts me way over on starches and one over on the fat, but yeah, could've been worse. I'll chug water the rest of the day and have a little salad with some meat on it for dinner.
