I know-it has been really quick. I'm very lucky. But it still seems so long to get to go over and get her though . . .
Re the flowers-I'm really happy with how they turned out-it was hard though-the first time I started painting the first flower-cuz I knew how difficult it would be to paint over if I didn't like it!
Roxie climbs the screen door to get up there . . . .when her nails are too long she gets stuck on the door and can't get up or down. It's pretty hilarious. She just hangs there. One time I was a very mean mommy and waited to get a picture before I helped her . . . .

JM -- I'm so excited for you. I can only imagine how interminable this waiting must be!
ETA: So, Josie will be about 9-10 months when you go to get her, right? Have they given you any additional information about her development (words, crawling, cruising, songs or games she likes) or any new pictures? You must be so hungry for information.

Oh, Mama Julie - I almost missed this thread!!! Doin the happy dance with you How exciting. If it were me, this would be the lllloonnnggeeesssttt 5 weeks of my life. Good thing you've got lots of stuff to keep you busy! I was curious about the weather over there right now...
just read that this is one of the more pleasant times to be over there (not like you'll really care about the weather, though!). So, 3 weeks in Vietnam. I hate to tell you this, but there are no CODs over there...what will you do!!!?? LOL. My education for today also found out:
Quote:
Vietnamese cuisine does not include large amounts of meat and fish; instead, rice is supplemented with vegetables and eggs. Similar to Chinese cooking, Vietnamese cooking uses little fat or oil for frying. Instead of using soy sauce for seasoning, nuocmam (fish sauce) is used as the main flavoring in almost every dish. Pho is a type of soup in which noodles, beef, chicken, or pork are added, and the soup is then garnished with basil, bean sprouts, and other seasonings. Fruits are an integral part of each meal—bananas, mangoes, papayas, oranges, coconuts, and pineapple are all popular. Vietnamese coffee is made with condensed milk to make the drink extra sweet and delicious. Hot green tea is very popular as well.
