Happy saturday everyone,

I have been struggling this week. I have a couple of good days and then I mess it all up and have a bad day. Work has been nuts (as per usual), plus because of that I am actively looking for something else. It seems like I am hardly ever home to cook an actual meal so I am always eating on the fly. I am going to sit down tomorrow and plan out my week as best I can and maybe even cook a couple of things tomorrow night and freeze and see if that helps. It seems lately that I am home long enough to sleep and shower and then out the door again.

But that's enough whining from me...I know many of you are having much rougher times than me and you guys can do it so...so can I. I just have to put my mind to it.

I go visit with my furkid for a bit tomorrow. Not sure if the ex will be there or not. He was last week when I was there. We get along fine but I won't deny that it is easier when I don't have to see him all the time.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Think I'll go make some SF jello to have for a snack later with some FF cool whip.

TTYL!

Well guys, can't say this has been a happy WI day. Not a single ounce lost. Been this way for a week and have been POP too. I just don't get it. I am so frustrated that I can't get to the 170's that I don't know what to do. It is frustrating when I am watching Dan lose all this weight and I struggle to lose 1 stupid lb. Not in that good of a mood.

On a lighter side, I made a nice looking stand to place behind out new couch out of our old wooden fouton. The fouton broke so we bought a new couch to replace it. Well since the vent is by a wall, we have the couch about 16" from the wall. The space there is being used for the wireless and cable modem. I created the stand to hold the wireless and cable modem so that they weren't on the floor. It really looks nice and is two levels. I love working with wood and I finally got to do a project which I haven't done I a very long time.

Congrats to all the losers. Wish I was there with ya. See you all laters.
Liz

Hey everyone!

Katie so sorry to hear about your dad will be keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Jason 6lbs???? You are doing awesome!! congrats!!

WTG to all of those who lost.

I finished TO today but I think I had a little more to eat than what we are really supposed to but it was just extra lettuce and a little chicken. But I have to say I feel great. I will check my scales to see if there is a little bit of a loss at least. The past several TO's did not really do much for me. I start back POP tomorrow.

I am also going to start exercising again tomorrow. I just feel better when i eat right and exercise.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Katie -- I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's diagnosis. I can only imagine how devastating that news is to you and your family. I'll be thinking of you and sending out lots of good wishes for the best possible news.

Amazing Kim -- Sorry to hear about the sick ferret, I hope s/he feels better soon. I'm always stuck doing WI at least after breakfast and some water (on SAturdays) and after much water and food on weeknights. Don't sweat it, if it showed you a little higher than you should be, it will seem like that much a bigger loss next time.

Sherry -- Good for you for resisting the FF until you've tried a few more POP days. From what I've read from others it's best used as a plateau buster rather than as penance for a bad week. I hope the extra food and lite gets you back on track. It worked for me the week before last.

Dan - Great to hear that you're doing well.

Liz - Sorry to hear about the plateau not breaking yet. I'm sure it will cave under your tremendous will to lose soon! Do you have any tips to share from the manager you spoke with? The stand sounds like a totally cool project.

Kristen -- I can't believe how close to goal you are, and on schedule! You're truly an inspiration. That's awful that you ended up with the same bug as DD...I hope it ends with you for the sake of your health and sanity!

Kim2 -- Yay for your 2.6lbs! Awesome results for your hard work being POP.

Libby -- Thank you for the pick me up. I made better decisions today, and that's a big NSV here, weekends are usually killer for me. I'm very happy to report that I had to keep hiking up my fave cords yesterday at work, because they are getting a little too big. Yay! Thanks for the reminder...I'm going to think of them next time I'm tempted to binge on popcorn. Good luck with your MIL's visit!

Jason -- Way to go! 6lbs is awesome. You must need the extra wing-calories to make up for the heavy exercise schedule you have. Sure, some might have been your flu, but I'd take it anyway...lol.

NCRed -- What a great start! That's really something when you are on the road...I'm sure it's not easy to get in all the exchanges and get the right amounts of everything. Good for you!

Goodnight all!

I, too, have been using food in the wrong way. Feeding a shattered heart, I guess. We learned this week that my dad has prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. We don't know very much yet, but things do not look very good according to the ureologist. I have not posted it until now, because I can't even think about it without tears. I could really use some prayers and support right now for my dad and my family.
Katie -

I was just lurking (yes again) and I came across your post. I am very sorry to hear about your Dad. I will keep your Dad, you and your family in my thoughts and prayers !! Hugs sweetie !!!

I was told by the online counseler that breaking up the proteins is good. She said never eat your proteins together during the day. If you break them down further thats good. Also think about the science of it. Its harder for your body to break down protein than other things. So I would think the more you break it down the better off you would be...just my thoughts

Thanks for all of the kind words, guys. It really helps me to stay positive.

Britt- Good job on TO, and of course, extra lettuce and chicken will not kill you!

Norissa- Thanks, so good to see you!

I went out for some shopping therapy with my sister. Dillards had the most amazing clearance sale. I bought 4 new nightgowns. Just could not resist. I am a fool for jammies and nightgowns. There were tons of racks of things marked down 75% from the original price, then take an extra 30% off of that. I also got some new jeans (32" waist, whahooo), and a ton of tops. Shirts for my son for 2 bucks, oh, I could go on. It was shopping utopia.

Lizzy--hang in there--I was in your same boat--DH and I did LAWL together and he dropped tons faster, but it will come off. He made it to maintenance--I just goof around at 160 lol. WE keep saying we will "get serious" again but something always seem to come up to derail our great intentions. You are doing terrific by anyone's standards so as hard as it can be just grit your teeth, grin and tell him congrats. That's how I survived--it ws hard sometimes to be nice!!

Katie--you, your father, and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. WTG on the shopping--I never have such luck! I NEED a shopping day without kids!! I hate taking them but they have grown so much I HAVE to unless I want to return half of it later. UGH.

Morning to all--gotta get ready for church.

Katie......
I read your post yesterday, and I didni't really have any time to post......but I was thinking about you all day. I can't imagine what you and your family are going through. I don't blame you for not posting about it immediately. Sometimes it seems like if you don't talk about it, it just isnt' true......and really, who has the desire to talk about something that just makes you sad. I hope that your Dad has a fabulous doctor and some encouraging news comming. I know there isn't much we can do from cyberspace, but you know we mom's........we always want to DO something........so if you come up with anything........please let us know. Also, shopping is always good. Thanks for talking about Dillards. I have never been to a Dillards (I just never take the time) .......and there is one just down the road from my house........and now I think I am going to have to go check it out. Thanks a lot
XOXOXOXO
