Oh good lord, you'd think I'd know better by now. I KNOW we are going for Indian food tonight, and I KNOW I had office potluck on Thursday, so what did I do for dinner last night? No, wasn't smart about it at all...we went to a schmantzy-fancy new joint to eat, and the DB ordered an appetizer sampler and I went ahead and ate freaking HALF of it...cheese sticks, chicken tenders, quesadillas, queso, onion straws...bah! WTF was I thinking?? And yeah, had some Carb Blockers in my purse and never thought ONCE about taking them. I did order a side salad with dinner, and the meal I ordered was a portabello mushroom sandwich, and I didn't eat the bread, but still...the appetizers completely did me in. *sigh* Am up for a gain of 3 pounds already on the home sclae due to the last 2 days, and I still have the Indian food to get through tonight. *cries*

Somebody stop me!!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day Everyone!

Megan: Hang in there, we all have slip ups (trust me I was fighting not to have some of my DB french fries last night). Just try to make good choices with the indian food tonight. I know you can do it!

Katie: That little ditty had me crackin up. I'm gonna try to limit the liquor tonight so I don't get a hangover.

My DB is taking me to North Beach for dinner tonight. For those of you who aren't familiar with SF, North Beach is the Little Italy area in the city. Tons of delicious pasta and pizza and Italian sweets. Needless to say I'm going to pack some Carb Enders and ask for a doggie bag as soon as I get my food so I can split it in half (or thirds if need be) and bring the leftovers home. And all of this is after I go spend the day with my mom shopping. Wish me luck everyone!

Hello All,
Newbie Anna here. Started Feb 13 and have lost 10.0 lbs. My primary motivation is getting a refund in August. I'm using some of the money my grandma left to me to finance my LAWL program. I will be scanning the threads to find out ways I can optimize my chances for success, also, ways I can avoid screwing up.

Michael M, I appreciated your discussion about the biscotti. When I'm done posting I'm going to go straight downstairs and make a cafe mocha (with skim and light chocolate syrup of course!) and drink it with a biscotti which I bought at Sam's Club! Thanks for the inspiration.

Have to share my NSV. I went shopping today and bought 2 new dresses. That in itself is a NSV for me because I usually have to try on a million dresses and settle on the one that fits whether I like it or not. I'm a little too well-endowed up top and have small hips. ANYWAY, the real NSV is that one of the dresses was a SIZE 10!! Yippee!

Cassie - I just made your veggie burger thing and I totally LOVE it! I've been a little bored with my foods and needing some variety especially on the days I work. So this will become a favorite along with my smoothie. Thanks for posting it!!

Megan - Stay strong...you can get through this weekend.

Wendy - Great NSV! I don't know that I can get down to a size 10, my inherited badonkadonk won't allow it. I'll be happy happy with a 12.

This morning my sclae showed me down a little, so I'm really trying to hold on to it through WI on Monday.

Hi, everyone...welcome, newbies...POP wishes for all!!

Two weeks until vacation! As I sit here at home, supposedly working on a project for my accounting class, all I can think about is vacation starting in 2 weeks. We are going to Florida, Disney of course!

My partner and daughter leave on Friday the 30th. My son and I leave on Monday the 2nd. We had to delay our departure due to the state finals for gymnastics.

OK, I know what you are all thinking, how the heck does he get that 300lb body hoisted up for the still rings....well, just to ease your concerns, it is my son, not me. Thankfully he is a skinny mini, ultra in shape gymnast and does not have any of the concerns I had at this age with weight.

He is competing on Sunday and actually has a chance to win his state finals meet, so he and I leave for vacation later than the rest of the family. Regardless it will be good to get away.

I need to make sure I do not blow it while gone. I also need to make sure I take off a few more before leaving - my goal would be another 6, we'll see!

OK, back to my project.......hehe!

Michael

MAN! Weekends can a bit challenging, am I right? I didn't do anything ridiculous but I have had an extra starch today and veggie soup (I don't even know how to count this!). Tonight is grilled shrimp and veggies. I am amazed that I was able to stay so close to plan today since DF decided to make FRENCH FRIES this morning (baked Ore-Ida but fries nonetheless). Damn him. I did eat two but it could have been much worse.

Michael...Florida sounds awesome. My friend (also from Minnesota) is down there right now and said its been in the 80s. My Easter vacation is going to Wisconsin for a visit. Jealous!

Megan...Hang in there, girl. It happens. Just get back on the horse as quick as you can.

Hi. Began LA Weight Loss and am now in Week 2. I've lost 7 lbs. -- have a lot more to go!

Don't have too many problems yet as I've just begun. But, I'm going to have to do this for a long time to get to my goal weight. (Haven't got the guts to post my starting weight yet!) So, as time goes on, I'm sure I'll have some issues. Is this the best forum? I'm new to this whole thing and don't really know what I'm doing.

Welcome! I know you'll get comfortable with everyone soon, or I hope you will anyway ... there is no judgement here. There are people of all weights, heights, physical fitness, etc. etc. So, join in and get comfy, I'm here for the long haul too :S

Anyway... I have been MIA from the site for the past week and I don't think there is enough hours in the day to catch up on all the posts!! Just wanted to say Hi to everyone and I'll try to catch up as much as I can.

Happy St. Patty's Day... easy on the green beer!!

I'm never drinking again...at least not starting at noon again! Anyone want to look after a 2 1/2 yr old boy while I sleep? Nothing like a good hangover to get you back on track again...so far all I can keep in me for more than 30 seconds is water...lol...gotta go, the monitor is making my head spin...

Dude, do I know how you feel!! I did that last weekend for one of my girlfriend's 25th b-day.... we started at 1pm and didn't stop until 4am.... needless to say I felt like I had been dragged behind a freight train the next day... and to make things worse... I had gained 3lbs overnight! haha, but it was worth it... and hey, I don't think it hurt my losses too bad because I have lost 6 lbs since Monday! Good luck with your hangover... 2 words for you: ADVIL and gatorade! Always worked for me back in the day... (hahah, listen to me, I make it sound like 21 is so old).... if all else fails try some hair of the dog my friend!!
