Good Morning everyone!!! Just had to share my good news!!! Weighed in this morning at (drum roll please....) 123.5!! OMG, I am so proud of myself. Half a pound a way from reaching my NYC goal. Okay that's it!! Hope everyone else has a great day too! Stay POP people!! Take Care.

Lori: Thank you. Don't worry I won't waste away, I'll be really careful. Got my DH here to take care of me and to watch every move I make.

Stephanie: Long story short...I started LAWL on May 2006, but had initially started on the Atkins diet back in November/December of 2005. Lost 34 pounds on the Atkins and 57.5 pounds on LAWL.

Cassi: We were posting at the same time....Thank you, thank you, thank you...Gosh, can you tell how excited I am? As for me going to 118, I said it at first to spite my husband, but I don't know...maybe 120. We'll see what my body says.

Good morning all! Busy, busy day today so don't know how much I'll get to check in. May not even make it to WI until tomorrow. Had an OK weekend, but definitely not POP. These honey mustard pretzel nuggets keep calling to me. Bought them for DS because he used to like them and I figured they were a better snack at school than potato chips, but now he doesn't like them. So they sat there in the pantry half-open staring at me all weekend every time I went in there. DD told me this morning she won't eat them so tonight when I get home they are going in the trash. In fact, I think I will have DH throw them away so they are already gone and out with the trash tonight when I get home.

It's shaping up to be a rough week for me. We are going to the in-laws for dinner on Wednesday because DH's cousins are in for one night. MIL doesn't want to cook so I think she's ordering in chinese. As long as she gets me some steamed stuff and I avoid the rice, I should be ok. But Saturday is Irish Fest. WOO HOO! They have this great festival all weekend. DH and I are going Saturday evening. I can already taste the Harp beer. Must be good this week to account for that. Good thing the 6 week challenge brings us TO on Monday!

Evette - WTG on your loss, girl! Are you really thinking of going to 118?

Lori - Glad you survived the rice krispie treats. Sounds like you did better than me and the pretzels!

Joni - Good luck w/Charlie today!

Joni- I have used TaxAct for the last 2 years, and I really like it. They make it pretty hard to make a mistake. I can't stand paying someone else to do mine, either.

Evette- Wow, you are amazing! Too funny about DH pinching you. That sounds like my house.

Lori- We went back to Dillards yesterday, and the sale was over. So there were still a zillion racks of 75% off clothes, but they were not taking the additional 30% off.

My baby, 4 year old DD, woke up this morning with the flu, so I have no idea what I am doing about work today. Gotta go in, at least for part of the day, but I cannot take her. I have no clue what I am going to do.

Good morning, all!! Gonna try to be OP today, but my group is going out for lunch today for BBQ pork. I don't want to be anti-social, so I'm going. At least this place seems to have very lean pork, and they let you add your own sauce. Hopefully, I can keep my hands out of the hush puppies (fried corn bread for those of you up North) and can find some semi-healthy sides to go with it. Feeling pretty good today because I pulled yet another pair of pants out of the closet this morning that I haven't worn in a few years...and I can breathe!! Yay me!

Evette - Wow! You are amazing! But I can totally understand DH pinching you. I'm only 5'2", and I once was told that my most ideal weight would be 122. Right now, I'm only gunning for 130, but if all goes well, I may reset my goal for that or at least 125.

Katie - Hope DD feels better and that you can get the work thing figured out. With 2 little ones, I know how it is. At least, I have the flexibility to work at home when I need to, which helps so much!!

Cassi - Throwing the pretzels away is probably a good idea. I try to keep most temptations out of the house now. Once in a while, DH will buy cookies for him and girls and hide them. Unfortunately, I usually find them!! Fortunately, chips and pretzels don't tempt me..I have more of a sweet tooth..so he can usually keep those in plain site. Now, cheezits are another story....

No time for more personals now. "Hey" to everyone else, and have a great day!!

Hi all! I spent the weekend trying to dig out from a pile of laundry, clean out the fridge because I didn't get a chance to do it before we left (Yuk - remind me to never do that again). And while I was at it, I totally cleaned out the cupboards of all lingering junk. Unfortunately, with all of that I did not get to the market, so TO gets postponed another day. I need to get my act together. The sclae is creeping down on its own, though, thank god.

Evette - Yay on the goal! You will definitely get to it. Have fun in NYC - and happy birthday too!

Cassi - good luck this week, with all of the goings-on. St. Patty's day is on a Saturday this year - oh boy. I'll have to plan around that one - there is an Irish pub here that has a block party with a heated tent and bands all day... we always go. Have fun this weekend - Harp is made in my Irish hometown! It's my fave too!

Joni - Never used TaxAct. I'm avoiding it because I'm pretty sure we owe this year. I'm good at avoidance!

Katie - I hope you can work something out about your DD today - you mom's sure have a lot of shuffling and scrambling to do every day! I hope she feels better soon.

Wendy - WTG on re-acquainting yourself with those pants! Good luck at lunch.

OK, so work is pretty busy/bad right now. The political atmosphere is awful -(for instance - last week we had a boil water advisory in the village - and we announced it in the afternoon, told kids that they should bring in some bottled water for the next day, then we bought gallon jugs for each classroom. Yet, the next day, I see our receptionist putting her Kindergartener in front of the bagged up water fountain, tells him to look sad and takes a picture of him..... WTF???!?? Then I remembered that her DH is going to run for school board. I can't stand it.) Anyway, this weekend two really good school jobs opened up. I'm seriously contemplating applying. They are a lot bigger districts, which could mean more stress, OR... maybe less stress, I dunno. Any suggestions?

Good morning all..

The weekend went by too quickly, as usual, and I'm just not in the mood for work.. Not that I'm really working at the moment..

I have to admit, our Sunday was a bit "off" by plan standards.. We were mostly POP, but ended up eating more starches than we should have.. Faced with eating turkey filets (again!), Liz and I just decided that we wanted something good (bad) for dinner.. We almost bit the KFC bullet, but our kids suggested Olive Garden (smart kiddos).. So we went and had our fill of salad and a couple of breadsticks each (there's those extra carbs)... Oh.. and we both had pasta dishes, but I'm happy to report that neither one of us ate much of the pasta, filling ourselves with the included meat (steak for me, crab for Liz)...

My only excuse is that we're getting occasionally bored with the same ol', same ol', no matter how many different ways we cook it..

I think part of it was also the frustration on Liz's part, since she's not been moving the scales lately.. Not that I blame her one bit...

So.. Needless to say, WI may not be to swift on Tuesday, but at least if it isn't, I won't be disappointed....

Have a POP day, all.. We're having turkey filets for dinner...

Good morning everyone!!!

Evette..........congratulations girlie!!! I am so excited for you. You are going to have a blast in NYC!!!

Katie.......I hope you figured something out with your kids and work. Isn't it sooo difficult to balance that? When I did home daycare, I always had that struggle......and it totally sucked. I, too, have 2 kids home with the flu......so if we lived closer, I'd just tell you to drop her off. What's one more puker, right? I bought this wonderful upright steam vac last year when DH was at deer camp, so cleaning it up is a breeze now. I tell you, it's the best $179 I have ever spent. And, DH thinks so too now, cuz he had to clean up puke last night........

Joni.......Thanks for the compiments on my myspace pics. Did you notice how skinny I was just 6 years ago? I dressed all my girls in white because really, DH married into our little girlie family. He gave them all bracelets that day with inscripitions that were from "Dad." He adopted all of them 6 months after we were married, and they knew that was the plan.......so it made that day even more special. It truly was the happiest day of my life

I made a myspace page because I wanted to beable to monitor my daughter and her friends pages. She knows I check up on her, and although she doesn't particularily like it, she is ok with it. Every now and then when I ask her to remove something from it, she threatens to block me........but she hasn't yet. I have not said this outloud to her, but I would probably revoke her computer priveledges if she blocked me Now my 11 yo DD has started one too.....but her's is restricted because she is under 13. It is such a different time now then when we were teens. If you stop and think of it.........noone writes real live letters anymore. Noone ever has to wait for anything.........do you guys remember when you had to mail a letter to a friend who lived out of town, and you had to wait at least a week and a half to hear back from them. I find it kind of unfortunate that our kids won't really ever experience that. Don't get me wrong.......I love technology and computers and all that.........you just get a new perspective when your kids are teenagers. I hope your trip with Charlie Dog goes well

Cassi.........although I do not have Irish Fest comming up........I do have girlscout cookies and a road trip to Wisconsin this weekend, and I am afraid. I am especially afraid because I lost 4 freakin pounds this week, and I don't want to gain them back. I will be picking up about 150 boxes of cookies on Friday, and then traveling with a good portion of them to deliver to friends and family in Wisconsin. I love munching in the car, and I have managed the last few trips to be good........but with a Suburban full of crabby kids and girlscout cookies......I fear I may cave. I am thinking of just choosing one day to eat cookies..........like maybe Sunday on our way home.......I don't know. What would you do?

Kristen.........I hope you are feeling ok.

Ok, time to tend to the little ones..........I will be back with more in a bit.

Hello to everyone.......sorry I haven't replied to everyone yet........I will
XOXO

Woooo hooooo Barb way to go girlie! You can do this!

Evette- OMG congrats! Thats a number I'll only ever see again in my dreams! Thats what I weighed when I graduated highschool but that was a LONG time ago!

I just about shouted and did a happy dance in a store dressing room Saturday! I bought a size 12 pants(and I can actually breathe in them)! I havent seen a size that small since my oldest son was born and he just turned 22 last week!

I'm calling today to make an appointment for a consultation for a tummy tuck. Hubby promised me when the weight came off he would pay for it. I've had 3 c-sections. I could weigh 100 pounds and still have a flabby stomach. Told him I wasnt getting the weight off and still not feeling good about myself because I hate my stomach. Sooo we'll see how all of that goes!

Everybody have an amazing day!

Kim......we were posting at the same time..........so sorry about the fridge. I used to hate that........fortuantely (I think), our food NEVER lasts long enough to rot. LOL. Of course, every once in a while, something gets pushed to the back.....and becomes a science project. Glad your sclae is moving down. Maybe you can just skip out on the TO if all is going well, and do the next one in the challenge K, have to run......XOXO

Kim #2................you are my idol!!! Serioulsy.........I so want to have a TT, but I am a chicken. I only had 1 C-section, but 5 full term pregnancies pretty much destroyed my tummy. I could probably wear pants 2 sizes smaller, but I have all this junk around my waist. It's not all fat either......it's just ickiness. Please tell us all about your consult.......or PM me........I am sooo curious about it. I have a cosmetic surgery place about 2 miles from my house........and I could pop in there anytime, or make an appt, but I'm afraid to even do that. I am mostly scared, (besides medical complications) because I don't know if I could ever stop with surgeries. You know what I mean? Cuz I might want a brow lift..........a boob job.......some lipo.......and the list goes on and on. That is me though..........and I am a little wacky I hope your consultation goes well (I'm green with envy).
XOXO

Kim(phin)...

I just about spit my coffee when I read the part of your post about the kiddo in front of the water fountain.. I hope for that person's sake, that the picture doesn't end up in a newspaper or used for political reasons.. That is a BIG ethical no-no.

I know that sounds kind of extreme, but I spent enough time in radio/tv news to call fowl when I hear of or see staged pictures or video.

Sorry to rant.. Must have more coffee!

Nicole- My flab isnt around my waist, its all in my lower stomach. Just saggy flabby skin that no amount of weight loss is going to fix. Every pair of pants I buy is too big in the thighs and butt because I cant stand the way anything looks if its too tight in the tummy. My goal was to get to a size 12 and with the tummy tuck to get rid of the excess junk I should be able to do that comfortably. I survived 3 c-sections, this doesnt scare me one little bit LOL As for more surgery? The only other thing I think I would consider is a breast lift. I dont need implants, I've got plenty, just wish they were back up on my chest where they started before breast feeding! LOL (sorry roosters) Just a sad fact of life LOL
I'll let you know how the consultation goes!
