Carb Cravers
Hi all,
I wanted to get an idea of how often everyone uses their carb cravers options, or frozen meals?
I was only allowed to start using them last week, and they all seem so yummy now...lol. I have never enjoyed a peanut butter and jam sandwich as much as I did last Friday.
I don't want to go overboard though, so I want to limit myself. How damaging have they been to your weightloss? I imagine if I want to see big losses I should use them very sparingly.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hi- My COD told me also to use the carb cravers sparingly during my weight loss phase, so I haven't used them yet. But..... a peanut butter and jelly does sound good now that you mention it. Maybe I'll have one this week. Have a great day everyone.

I use the pizza every 2 weeks or so. Whenever we need a quick dinner. My family likes pepperoni and plain, so I order the plain cheese and then sautee some mushrooms and onions at home and top my pizza with that. I do have a big salad before I eat the pizza though.
I've also done the quesadilla at home. (Remember - except for the pizza these are things to be made at home, not ordered out). I just like the convenience of the pizza, though.

I've been on LA since October and I've never done a carb craver meal. I think it scares me, afraid I'll eat it and the scale will blow up! LOL

Yep.. I use mine for pizza as well. It's actually quite a bit of food!

Another big treat for me is when we go to the mall, there is a salad place there that mixes and chops the salads for you. I order the small salad, which is about 2 cups of veggies, with the FF peppercorn ranch dressing. You tell them how much to put in and when they chop the salad up, you really only need a little. Then I get one slice of the veggie pizza from Sbarro. It has some jalepenos, spinach, and other goodies. It's actually a huge meal and I count it as V V C for the salad and P (carb cravers) for the pizza. It takes a little longer to go two places in the food court, but it also takes a long time to eat and you will not be hungry when you're done. It's like a total splurge, but OP.

Good suggestion, Michelle. There's a reason they allow us to have them. I guess we really should use them once every week or so. Thanks for reminding me!

When we first started the plan, my wife and I diagreed as to whether we were allowed to have the CC's... We weren't sure if they were allowed under our plans, even though they were in our books, because our set up counselor didn't really talk about them.. While she wanted to err on the side of caution (as she usually and rightly does) but I thought since it was in the book, we could go ahead and do it! Luckily, I was right for once..

Chalk one up for the man! (word of advice - don't bring up you're being the one who's right to Lizzy too often)

Thanks everyone. Okay, I think I'll try to keep it to twice a week for CC and maybe 1 or 2 frozen entrees.
The frozen stuff I normally eat on the weekends for lunch when DH and DS are eating forbidden food like hotdogs or chef boyardee. *slurp* I particularly like the roasted veggie pizza from Lean Cuisine.

Dan-you were only partly right From what I understand-the counselors don't bring up the carb craver option until you've been on the plan for about 4 weeks, to let you get used to the program before introducing anything else.

I usually eat CC once a week......sometimes twice.....oh, I take that back.........I use 1/2P from CC many times a week for breakfast.......cereal and milk as a protein from CC. Hmmmmmmm, I never really gave it much though.....I just always make sure I don't do one two days in a row. LOL. I wonder if I should take a second look at my diary and check out the weeks that I stalled. Interesting. Thanks for asking
