Thumbs down I just ate a cookie!

What the heck is wrong with me???!!! Here I am, 3 lbs down thanks to the stomach bug and now I go and eat a cookie! I decided to come here and confess instead of grabbing another one. My tummy is still a little sensitive, so fruit and veggies don't appeal. But I am sort of hungry. Maybe I will have a few crackers (I have the low fat club ones in the kitchen) and a single serve soup. I have to head out soon to begin my afternoon rounds of ferrying everyone everywhere, so I really should eat before I go. Otherwise a disaster is sure to happen!

Thanks for listening - Sharon

Try protein. It should fill you up and give your tummy something to do!

Don't beat yourself up about it- think of all the calories you would have had if you had felt better the last few days!

Sharon - depending on what your belly feels like - if you are having a hrad time keeping foods down just stay hydrated and do not worry about your weight. Just get well - You should try clear broths and dry toast first. Then slowly add in bland foods - small amounts at a time. Don't do too many dairy products - they are very hard to digest...

Slow and steady. And remember to allow yourself some time to relax. K? Fell better soon!

Thanks guys! I filled myself up with water and ate a roastbeef sandwich on the run. I had the stomach bug wed and Thursday, so I am technically over it now. My tummy just isn't quite ready for the roughage, ya know?!

But I am proud of myself for coming here and confessing rather than eating another one, so I will take that small victory and be happy for today! That is what is so great about this group. Knowing you guys will hold my feet to the fire if I mess up too much!

Hi Sharon,
The only thing I've been able to eat this week is graham crackers and milk. On Thursday, I thought the bug was gone & I ate a tuna sandwich. It came back with a vengence. I'm back on graham crackers today. Yesterday, all I could deal with was ginger ale.

One cookie isn't going to hurt you - in fact, aren't those allowed under snacks??

Don't beat yourself up about it, you need a little food after a stomach bug and whatever it is (even cookies) is better than nothing, if that's what you fancy

In the paper yesterday, the Boondocks cartoon was funny. The one kid was telling the other that Cookie Monster was in rehab for always eating cookies and spitting them back out -- he never actually eats one. I guess he doesn't get cookie calories that way!

LOL, my college roommate always thought getting an eating disorder would be the answer to her dieting woes... until she saw a poster for an eating disorder support group that included overeaters! She came home screaming about being careful what you ask for!
