Hiya,

I'm in the same boat as you, so can't give any good advice yet.

I'm 34, no kids yet, want to lose weight and enjoy being thin again first. Gave up smoking 6 weeks ago and now that i've mastered that (I think, so far so good), I thought it was time that I shifted a few pounds.

Good luck, and I hope we can give each other good advice in the future

Hi,thanks for the reply.Maybe we can share the info we learn with each other along the way.My mom belongs to this site so maybe for once i can have my mom guide me,,,hehehe.I dont smoke or drink but my addiction is FOOD especially when depressed or BORED! My husband loves me regardless,he met me overweight but I need to do it for me.Im so tired all of the time and look horrible in clothes.MY mom says I have a pretty face, now if i can only get the body to match,,lol.Im realistic though.I may not lose the 90 i wish for but any # of lbs is better than 0.I look forward to talking with you more.Take care and good luck!

Morning ladies & welcome to the site! Once you start losing weight mommy, you'll have more energy.. I've only lost 20 and it's amazing the difference of my energy level. I have 2 children. I also have a TON of stress in my life.. job mostly.. but still.

I count calories for my plan. I don't call it a diet.. I call it a lifestyle change. I am going to have to live this way for the rest of my life.. I can't go back to eating the way i used to.. Honestly, there are many things my body won't allow me to eat anymore since i've started cutting things out.. Ice cream, soda are two I can think of right off. I get ill after eating/drinking them so i avoid it all together now. Good luck to you in finding what works for you. There are several threads you could join .. 30-something thread would be a good support group for you as well as if you decide on a specific eating plan, there are groups for just about every plan you can think of.

Mommy

I've done Weight Watchers before, and it works so i'm trying it again.

It might help if you don't look at it as having to lose 90 pounds. Try setting smaller goals, I aiming to lose 7 pounds at first, when I do, i'll aim to lose another 7, i'll treat myself each time, maybe with some new shoes or jewellery. My fella is really supportive as well which helps.

I've decided, Fluffy Doyle is such a stupid name. It's my 'porn star name' where you take the name of your first pet, and your mothers maiden name. Anyway, my name is Christy.

Good luck xx
