Hello from a Newbie
Hello everyone! From what I've read in my few minutes of lurking around the forums, everyone here is so nice. I'm happy to find a place to talk to people in the midst of trying to lose weight.
I've struggled with weight all my life. I can't ever remember a time (even as a child) that I didn't feel like I was fat. Just recently, I decided that enough was enough. I want to walk into a clothing store without worrying if they will have something to fit me that won't look like a sheet.
I'm currently 232, and I'd like to get down to 160. Of course, I would like to get even further down to a healthier weight, but I didn't want to set this first goal too high. If I can lose 70 pounds, then I think I can more easily motivate myself to lose the remainder. As it is, I would love to be at 160. I haven't seen that number on the scale for *years*.
