I just joined last night. Since January 6 I have lost about 14 pounds. I have been making healthier choices and exercising (treadmill 30 minutes a day). I guess my loss for just over a month is okay but I am getting impatient, it just fell off so quickly the first few weeks. I am also a little depressed because I still am unable to fit in the next size down.
I am currently 211 pounds, started at 225 in early January. I am 40 years old, and 5 foot 7 inches. My weight didn't become an issue until about 4 to 5 years ago. An abusive marriage, nasty divorce, and job stress added up to excess poundage. Of course, this summer I did get diagnosed with an under active thyroid so I do take medicine for that.
I am determined to make my life healthier through choices and exercise. I like what I have read on this site, lots of good tips and success stories.
