hi! my name's lisette and i'm 23 yrs old, 5'8" and currently 193.5 lbs.
i've been wanting to lose weight now for ages - but had only managed to stay on a diet for 2 weeks - max. i was always unhappy with how i looked, but never did have the willpower and the mindset to do it.
i'm new to this forum, but not to weight loss, as i've been steadily losing weight since march 28th.
what changed me was when i went shopping one day (march 27th) with my sister for her prom dress, and i couldn't fit into the "fat" clothes. nothing fit right, and i was bulging everywhere. i almost cried.
from that day, i said no more. i sat down at the computer and i searched around for ways to lose weight. i read the "hacker's diet" and it hit me. i just needed to do portion control and step up my exercise (which at the time was none). i play DDR (dance dance revolution) and try to walk 10,000 steps a day for my exercise.
so here i am, almost 38 lbs smaller and a whole lot happier. i haven't fallen off my program yet. and i don't plan to either. i've changed, the way i think has changed - and i no longer eat because i'm bored, or because i'm unhappy.
