Howdy!
Hello! I'm a middle-aged Southern Belle who needs to lose about 30 pounds and - more importantly - get my blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure numbers down. I also have a painful bladder disease called Interstitial Cystitis which presents some diet challenges. I am a mother to two teens, one whom I homeschool, am married and have a stressful, demanding job in IT. I've been going lower carb and exercising more since right after the New Year and only two pounds lost so far. Kinda discouraged so I thought I would join here and see if I could get and give some encouragement. It's tough when everyone around you is eating donuts, pasta, and bread!
