Default introduction

Hi all,
I just joined TFC and look forward losing weight with all of ya'll
I'm 50 yrs. old and have battled with my weight my whole adult life.
I'm at an all time high of 205lbs. and I'm only 5'2".
I've tried all kinds of diets out there and had the most success years ago
with Phen-fen, loved that stuff! Anyway, I've started Adkins again as I had success with it many years ago. I was able to keep the weight off with that one too, but had a baby and.....ya know how that goes. lol
Look forward to reading about everyone's success stories.
Have a great weekend!

Welcome Simone! it's amazing how much your body can change with a baby isn't? I used to feel sad (and guilty for being sad!) about it but I am over it, I have a beautiful healthy son and it's up to me to get back on track.

Sorry no success story yet but working on it

I am not following any specific diet yet, basically I've been counting calories and trying to adapt to healthier eating and drinking more water, working on portion control and awareness.

My long term goal is to adapt to a paleo diet of sorts for maintenance, I love pasta and cheese too much to go full paleo and I don't want to not eat cake on my little one's birthday or miss out on christmas food for example.
