Hi! A 42yo mom of 2 here looking to make a life change. I just started the Ideal Protein diet last week and have my first weight in tomorrow morning.

I am 5'8" and weight 262 lbs, diabetic and feel like I have tried every diet in the book. My doctor suggested this plan when I started talking to him about "other options" (ie: WLS).

Having been overweight my entire adult life and now, since reaching my 40's, I feel like if I am going to ever lose the weight, improve my healthy...and let's be honest, shop for clothing at all the places I've ever dreamed of...now is the time to do it.

Excited to find a place to support and be supported by others fighting the good fight!

We all have similar struggles and can definitely benefit from each other's support. Good luck on the diet (I hear great things about that one you are on).

Welcome to 3FC!!!

This place has been a great support for me in my WL and I believe it will for you too!

I have a few coworkers who have done IP with great success - one of the gals is past 70lbs lost now!
