Smile Drop a dress size by my birthday!?

Hi all!

I'm turning 25 in April, and am determined to shift the last stubborn 10-14lbs. It's been an ongoing battle - and I currently have no idea how much I weigh, but I imagine it's somewhere between the 10 - 10.5 stone mark....

I'd love to drop a dress size (maybe even 2 dress sizes) by my birthday, so I'm hoping to find some support here to keep me going!

No fad diets for me - and no 5:2 diet either (I love my food too much for that!) - just trying to cut down my calories and do more exercise. Biggest problem is belly fat, so if anyone has any tips on getting rid of that, it would be very much appreciated!!

L xx

Hi Lizbug! You'll find lots of support here! Belly fat can be caused by hormones but typically is caused by consuming too much sugar and quick-burning carbs like white breads/grains, pasta, and rice. Cut down on those foods and you should notice a difference. Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome Jacqui! It's definitely the sugar. *sigh* x

Back before children, what helped me keep weight off was swapping food. There was some food I couldn't live without, so I ate that in smaller portions sometimes. But I swapped one thing for another. Like white bread for rye or wheat, full fat mayo for light or a light dressing, etc. That helped a lot.
