You'll get better help down in the exercise section, but one thing they will tell you is that you can't really spot tone particular areas you don't like. Most of us do best with a blend of cardio and a variety of strength-training so everything gets toned up. You might try yoga as well. That helped me get focused on what my body could do as opposed to how it looked -- a much healthier brain-space. For slimming down, the best results come from diet changes.
That said. You might want to look into planks, kicks, squats, lunges, and the like. You'll find You Tube videos that incorporate those exercises and they don't need any equipment so you can start now.
