Good morning everyone...I am starting a low carb diet today and would love to read and educate myself about low carb eating....I had gastric bypass in the spring of 2007...did well for the first 3-4 years but have slowly gained about 45 lbs. I am determined to lose that weight and hope that by following the right diet and support from this group to be successful...Any ideas or comments are appreciated...thank you

Hi Kat! You've come to the right place! You'll find lots of support here as well as great advice and tips! I am on a modified slow carb diet and it's working extremely well for me. This thread explains what I'm doing: The Slow Carb Diet. There are also many other low carb diets to choose from. Some threads about them can be found here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/carb-counters-117/. We also have a Weight Loss Surgery forum, which might be helpful to you: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/weight-loss-surgery-78/. And that's only a small fraction of what there is to see here, so browse around and jump right in! Good luck!

Jacqui_D and I are both "slow carb"ers (I started out doing strictly Atkins myself, but moved to slow-carb way) You can do this!!! It's all the journey!
