Default New...I need a hug...

Hi everyone! Although I know this website has been around for a long time and I've browsed it for info before, I've never posted.

I'm a mom of 2 little ones (4 & 2)...I was in the best shape of my life in 2010, lost over 100 pounds after my first baby, became a fitness instructor...then became preg with my second baby and let it all go, thinking I lost it all before, I'll do it again. Not the case this time. I'm really struggling and I have been for a couple years now. I lost all my weight on a very popular plan that worked wonders for me in the past, but not this time. I don't know what my problem is. I also made a very big move while preg with my second baby and I have been extremely homesick ever since. That was 2.5 years ago.

Anyway...I know how supportive this board is and I'm hoping to make some friends here who know what I'm going through.

Hello there! Huggles to you, and welcome to the best, most supportive weight loss forum I've ever been on.

As a former athlete who gained over a hundred pounds myself, I know the feelings that come with that situation. And I want you to STOP thinking about how you got here, and what failed, and concentrate on what's going to work!
Mini goals keep me sane...But I never forget the bigger picture!

Maybe you don't have a problem. maybe the path is just different this time. that's okay. it happens. you'll be fine. you can do this again. maybe just a little differently.

I'm also sorry your move is so difficult. I know what it's like to be alone or feel out of place, and I sincerely hope you find connection soon.
In August 2013, I wasn't sure if I could try to lose weight again, but I convinced myself to give it all I had just until October 31, 2013, at which point I would revisit my goals. I told myself I'd be pleased with my decision in the future. When October arrived, I felt deeply grateful indeed. It's been 24 months and over 121 lbs lost, and I remain deeply grateful every day. There are no words to explain how worth it the hard work is.
Reached onederland 31.12.2013!
Became 'overweight' (BMI of 29.7) on July 29, 2014!

Glad you decided to join up! I have only been around for a short while but came from a similar situation as before now I only browsed...but it really makes a difference to be part of the community, and it also helps to ask specific questions based on your individual situation. Welcome!! I've been done that road before where I would lose the weight for a few years, keep it off, but if I gained it back I wouldn't stress too much because I "knew" I could always take it back off again. Not so easy this time around...and I'm sure your stress is compounded by being homesick You sound like a very strong person so you've got this!

Hi NYer! and You are going to get lots of support here and you know what it takes to lose weight. You might have to try a different weight loss plan, but you know all about fitness, so you can do this and you will! Glad to have you! Good luck!
