Hi everyone! I am new to the boards here, except not at all. I am your usual lurker who comes here everyday but never says anything so I decided today was the day to take the next step and say hi!
I am 25 years old living in NY (not the city!) and struggling with my weight. I was the heaviest I've ever been at 170 about a month or so ago and have brought it down to 155, with a goal weight of 120. I have struggled with weight as long as I can remember but never went above 150 until this year. Last summer I was at 120, so in about a year I gained 50lbs which is hard for me to grasp. I have struggled with binge eating, not eating (high school) and any kind of crazy crash dieting.
This isn't the way I want to live my life with the ups and downs and constantly thinking about food. Over the past month I have attempted to make it a lifestyle change, eating healthy most of the time (with a few occasional treats/special meals) and incorporating more exercise. I know this is the way I have to do it to be successful and I know slow and steady wins the race and I am ready to take this weight off forever.
