Hello all, stumbled upon this forum in a search for metformin & weight loss. I am 35, have had PCOS for a number of years and have recently been diagnosed as 'pre-diabetic'. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life and have ALWAYS had trouble getting weight to come off and stay off. My doctor feels with some weight loss and a bit of a lifestyle change I can beat it.... Lost 20lbs already this year prior to this diagnosis. She has put me on metformin to try and get my sugars under control. Anyway, just wanted to say hello!!!!

I am new to this..not weight loss, but to this forum I have been looking for some support with this long journey I'm fixin to embark on..everyone around me is thin, and they just don't understand how difficult it is for me. Anyway, I am hoping to find encouragement and support here.
Totally understand what you're saying....my sister loses weight so easily....it's beyond frustrating. It seems that no matter what I do, it just won't come off, I understand now that insulin resistance definitely has been affecting my (non)weight loss. Hopefully I'm successful this time.....there's so much riding on it now.
I understand that. I feel like if I don't get serious and do it now I never will. I am starting to have issues with my knees and I just feel like if I don't get it under control I will die because of it.
