Hello Folks!
Two months ago in January, I decided to finally do a life changing effort before disaster strikes by losing the fat which has been slowly building since the 1970's.
What made me decide to lose the fat was reading about visceral fat (internal fat) and the terrible things it does to the body and increased risks of many illnesses.
I'm an oldster at 68 but thankfully, I've been mostly active all my life, so that helps a lot in the diet exercise routine.
The first thing I became aware of is having to distance myself from "friends", most do not understand what it takes to lose a lot of weight, themselves being heavy to very heavy. I can live without their jokes and remarks about losing fat.
I need to associate with people that do understand and are in the same situation. So started to look around the Internet and found this forum.
