I am struggling and looking for encouragement. I am afraid to start as I often self sabotage. I have struggled my whole life with my weight. I started overeating during my childhood following years of abuse. Currently I am at highest weight ever which is affected all areas of my life. I feel totally out of control. I have no idea where to start. I have been waiting for someone to be my buddy to have them kick my xxx but I know i am the one that has to do that. Excuses excuses are the reason I weight 265 lbs. So today I am going to start exercising!

Welcome to the group! If you visit often, you will find the motivation, education and encouragement here to help you shed those pounds. We all have issues with our weight or we wouldn't be here, so don't feel alone. I was at my highest weight of 252 lbs back in 2006. I got down to 170 and since then I have let the pounds creep back up to 208. I have come to realize that I can't just diet, but instead, I have to make a lifetime commitment to change the way I eat and look at foods in general to be successful at keeping my weight down.
