Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum - unfortunately not new to dieting though!
I'm 29, live near London and determined that I'm going to do it this time and change my relationship with food and exercise. I've been overweight since I was about 14 years old - when I stopped doing lots of sports and concentrated on school. It was vaguely under "control" until I was in my early-20s, but since then my weight has got really out of hand. My weight has stopped me getting jobs, travelling, and taking advantage of some opportunities that have come my way. But I'm beyond tired of this, and so almost forced myself into making a change by signed up for a training course so I can teach English - which will enable me to get my dream job of teaching in Asia
Since early January, I've been exercising 5 days a week and eating less, better and actually thinking about whether I'm really hungry - or just thirsty, before anything other than water passes my lips! So far I've lost 34lb.... a long way to go still, but already starting to see and feel the difference
That was probably more ramble-y than it needed to be! Looking forward to getting to know people and sharing our weight-loss journeys
