I suggest you just start out slow and adjust into exercise and dieting, that way you can get used to it and it can become a lifestyle! Maybe a short walk each day will help, and try to avoid processed foods. Prepare healthy and filling meals for both you and your family so then it won't seem like you're forcing yourself to diet! Other than that, I hope you find motivation and ideas from this forum! Goodluck
