I am very much worried about my weight. now i am 100 KG. I wanted to reduce it to 70 to 80 kg by December. I am very much interested in eating foods very badly. dieting is bit difficult to me. rather than dieting what step i can take. can any body suggest me.
Start with cutting out something like calorie full drinks. That was HUGE for me. It helped me drop 20 pounds pretty quick.
Talk walks, ride a bike, find something that makes your heartbeat fast but that you do not hate. Take the stairs and park away from stores. Once that becomes easier try something else like doing the stairs a few extra times a day or add in a good walk around the mall. Every.little.bit. adds up.
There is not a magic pill or surgery. If you do surgery and you do not change your state of mind and eating lifestyle you will gain the weight back. You have to do the work to lose it. Quit sucks but it is what it is. I see a ton of success stories on here...maybe stick around and try to find support from some of these great people!
Baby steps. Make a list of all the things that can help you, and then try to change just ONE of them per week. Or even per month. Whatever it takes for you to be able to stick to the change permanently, and make it a lifetime habit. Here's some of the changes I made:
-Drink more water (improves digestion, makes you feel full, helps you lose weight)
-Exercise more (I try for an hour a day)
-Limit foods like pasta because I overeat on those foods
-Limit eating out
-No fast food- EVER
-No soda- EVER
-Limit juice
-Limit alcohol
I eat 500-600 calories a day and go to the gym everyday for 1hr & 30min-2hr. I know a lot of people can't do that; but this does work. What I have found out is that you can eat whatever you want; however, you must burn those calories off or at least half.
Ex: when I eat 1000 calories I will stay in the gym until I burned 1,500 and once I get home I have a small cup of Plum juice.
For me this does work. I count calories on everything and has found it helps. I do every now and then, have a taste of cheese cake! Lol
Good luck and I hope the information you got today can help you.
Are you saying your total calories per day are 500-600? Or do you mean after exercise they are 500-600?
My total calories each day is 500-600 and sometimes I eat more then that; however, what ever I eat I burn off. Ex: if I eat 500 for that day, I will work that off in the gym. I find that this work for me and I have lost 16 pounds since aug, 30, 2012. My last weight in was on 9/26/2012, I'm 229. 11oz now. I also don't eat meat and get protein from egg.
500-600 calories a day is not enough, you are robbing yourself of nutrition. Your health will suffer from such drastic reducing. It is possible to lose weight on many more calories than 500-600 a day.
Yeah 500 calories is not going to work in the long term, and it will probably backfire. I think you need to come to your own conclusions what is best for you tho. At first I set unrealistic goals, I wanted to lose 120+ lbs by the end of the year, and if I tried to achieve that I think I would have quit before now. The 1st thing I learnt is patients, now I think I'll get there when I get there. Also I wouldn't say never have fastfood I've had several mcd since May when I started and I've lost 40+ lbs. I've found that after eating more healthy foods I can recognize a sort of sickly feeling after I've eaten one, something I didn't recognize before and if I'd abstained from them completely I would probably bigged them up more in my head and craved them more. I know I'm not missing anything. For exercise I use heavy weights with some cardio, at least 3 days a week at the gym and exercises you can do at home, you would find on a dvd on days I can't go.

I think I am fine for now, my doctor is aware of my dieting and I go once a month to see her. I might pick up a lil more calories later on; however, for now I will eat this way to make sure I have control of what I m eating.
I agree! My doctor advised me to never go under 1300. She also said I would lose just as much that way as with eating less because my body would stop functioning correctly and break down/slow down... slow down metabolism... for lack of proper nutrition. I have found that she is right.
Great article, juliastl27
