hi all i'm a newbie here and i am really shy i joined the forums to meet new people that are also on a weight loss journey as i am. i am currently 5feet 1 inches and weight 251.6 and hoping that i will make friends so that we can help each other and i'm just beginning my weight loss thank u.
thanks so much for your replies my plan is to start this slowly cause i have tried jumping into lose weight in the past and it made me gain even more weight. so i'm making small changes this time. for now i'm not going to stop drinking soda but i am cutting down to have 1 to 2 a day instead of just drinking it all day long. i have replaced instead with water. and am replacing sweets all day with better things like fruit for my sweet cravings. and i have began walking for exercise.
Hey enjoy I hope the best for your plan! I mix teas with water on my blog.. savynaturalista.wordpress.com It has help me throught my cravings with soda.. I lost one inch off my waist giving up soda..

Welcome! Good luck. You can do it. You are taking a smart approach because when people jump in, they usually don't keep the weight off. Best of luck to you!
sounds great to me too. I think sometimes we overwhelm ourselves with too many changes or being too rigid, and then when something happens we beat ourselves up over a perceived "failure." For me being healthy food wise is just picking the right choices as best as possible, if I eat a Hershey's Kiss or something, the best way to not fail is to make my next meal a healthy one.
Hi Charlotte ,
I m new to and struggle with the same thing . I love my soda and have been trying really hard to cut it down loads . I do still have a couple of the diet sodas but trying to replace the rest with water. It must be doing some good because two relatives at a wedding at the weekend commented an how glowing my skin looked . Hopefully next year it will be my body they comment on but hey i`ll take whatever i can get .
I am new here as well and wish you much success in your journey. Having support from understanding people can really help, and it seems to me that this forum is full of very friendly people.
