Default Finally ready to say HI!

I joined this site a couple of years ago and every now and then would read some threads. I have lost 65 pounds as of about a year and half ago. But had gotten to a point of eating too little and needed to maintain and get my metabolism back to normal. Now I would love to finish off that last 15 pounds in a healthier way if I can. I feel like I'm at a set point or plateau in a way where I am so any suggestions on how to break through that without getting extreme would be very welcome! This seems like a really great supportive place and I'm ready to jump in!

welcome! I'm new as well and everybody here has been super friendly and helpful. What I did to help get me out of a plateau was just change up my exercise routine, my body got used to doing the same thing over and over. So I changed it up, instead of running the same bike trail for the same amount of miles and time, I would go to a different trail with some hills and shorten the time and just run as fast as I can. Your body has just gotten used to your normal routine and maybe it's time to change it up or increase the intensity, esepecially since you're nearing your goal weight. Hope this helped

Add in a couple hundred calories of good fats and change up your exercise routine. Congrats on your loss so far!

Thanks for the welcome!

SoCalCowgirl I think you could be right. I have changed what exercises I do at times but not really my intensity for a long time. I will give that a try!

rainydays of course I hate to add in calories but I have heard that before. Even just changing what I eat can help. I tend to get in a rut of eating similar things for periods of time.

Maybe try adding for just a day or two, to shake your metabolism up
