Hi all! I stumbled upon your site doing some research for weight loss and low calorie recipes on the internet. I have poked around a bit a decided to join because it looks like such a great and supportive area.
A little background on me. I am a stay at home mom to two boys, ages soon to be 6 and 8. I am 34 (but my kids think I am 21 -- yeah, I trained them!). I decided on Sunday, March 11 that I needed to make a change. It is something I bounced around for a while, but that was the day I offically decided enough was enough. I had gotten on the scale and I weighed more than I ever did, even when I was pregnant with my second (we won't talk about the weight gain with the first!
)
Anyhow, when I began I was at 149 and knew that 150 was going to get me if I didn't do something about it. So on March 11 I decided it was time to count calories. Thanks to a wonderful app I found on my phone, fitday, I have been able to stick to my goal of 1200-1500 calories a day. As of this morning I am down to 133.5, so things are progressing very well for me. I have always been fairly active and I currently take spinning classes 3 times a week, pilates and a strength class.
Well, I can't wait to continue on this journey and get to know some of you! By the way, where can I get one of those really cool counters that everyone has on the bottom of their messages?
