Default My Introduction :-)

Hi everyone! I have been reading forum posts on this website for a few weeks now, figured it was time to join so here I am! A little bit about me: I am 22 years old, I graduated about a year ago with my bachelor's degree in nursing and am currently working night shift on a neuro floor full time! I am engaged and getting married in September - which is probably my biggest motivator to lose all this weight (we are getting married on the beach!). I want children more than anything, and would like to start trying soon after we are married. However, I have been diagnosed with PCOS and am terrified I will have difficulty doing so - I am hoping losing weight will help my odds! I currently weigh 208 pounds, and my goal weight right now is 150 (I am 5'7" and I might be happier a little heavier than that - I'll make up my mind when I get there!). My highest weight in 2011 was 235 pounds, so I have managed to loose 27 pounds total.

I started dieting this year again on January 8th. I was 217.6 pounds, so I have lost about 10 pounds in a little less than a month! My goal is to lose a minimum of 8 pounds a month until September, which will put me at goal!

Anyways, enough about me. I hope I can meet some people on here to keep me motivated! Thanks for reading

VKH, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 20-somethings and the PCOS threads/groups under Dieting with Obstacles sub forum.
