Talking New to the Forums

Hello all!
I'm a 21 year old college student finishing up my last year in Chicago. I've been overweight for years and have battled with it for just as long. I hated everything about it for years before I was finally able to feel comfortable with myself. Since then I have been eating healthier and now just want to be at a healthy weight.
Especially since I am on the cusp of rejoining the real world I was looking for the extra motivation to lose weight and graduation/fighting for jobs/real social world all seemed like good motivators.
From my start I had a goal to lose 93lbs, I have 80 left to go as of today.
(5'6" started at 235 when I first weighed myself around the 5th of January).
The best way to lose weight (if you don't have someone to physically to talk to and motivate you every day) is to have an online community to go to.

Excited to be here and be able to share and discuss progress with others.
Cheers!

LuciMarie, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 20-somethings.
