I've been a frequent lurker and it's been really great seeing some of you talk about your weight loss goals and accomplishments. For the past two years I've been packing on the pounds. I'm now 245lbs and desperate to change. I'm tired of the awful, self-esteem killing remarks from friends and family and disgusted looks and giggles from strangers. I will soon be going to my first WW meeting and will try to schedule work outs in between my crazy work/life schedule. I'm hoping that by actually becoming a member of the forum and reading more success stories from real people will give me the confidence and motivation to push myself for a healthier, happier me.
Oh yes! We need a place that's supportive and informative. Come to 3FC a couple of times day. Find a couple of threads and make yourself at home. Post, ask questions .... we're here for you.
Welcome! Your stats are similar to mine. I know where you are coming from but you don't have to stay there. Stick around. There is tons of information for you here and everyone is always willing to give you some advice if you need it!
Ittybitty, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the Weight Watchers forum.
