Hi everyone! I've just signed in to this forum and I'm already feeling really motivated and looking forward to achieving my goals!

My name is Anita, and I'm 21 years old. I've been chubby my whole life, but recently I've gained a lot of weight (30+ pounds in 2 years) and I've been struggling to find motivation to start losing it back and getting healthy again. I feel the first thing I really lack is motivation and confidence I'd be able to lose weight, so... I'm really excited about taking part in this forum! Hopefully it'll give me the motivation to keep me going for a long time!

Hey everyone, I just joined too. My name is Samantha, I'm 20 and I've also been chubby my whole life. I've lost it a few times, the lightest I ever got was 76kg which was amazing... and then I felt invincible and put it all back on... Done that twice now, and I'm hoping not to make the same mistake again. Last time I gained about 20kg in 3 months -.-... Anyway, looking forward to meeting you all and shedding some weight for the new year.

Anita, , welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 20-Somethings!

Thank you so much for all the tips, patchworkpenguin! I checked out some of these groups and even joined a challenge. I'm more excited than ever about losing weight! I'm really glad I found this place!

Best of luck to you, Samantha! I know exactly this "invincible" feeling and how dangerous it can be (been there 2 times too). Hopefully we can find enough motivation to keep losing weight and mantaining it for good!
