Hi, I'm brand new here, from Alberta, Canada...I've been battling my weight for most of my life. I've yo-yo'd more often than Oprah! Currently, I'm extremely overweight (a size 18/20) and desperately want to lose the weight and keep it off for good. I had a beautiful baby girl 10 months ago - I gained a lot during pregnancy and have struggled horribly losing it.
I'm a binge eater, a stress eater, an emotional eater. It's a very difficult struggle...I get very down on myself when I'm on the bigger side (like now) but yet can't seem to really do something about it. I'm hoping that will finally change now.
Looking forward to spending some time on this site and hopefully getting some much needed support (and returning the favour obviously)!

You aren't the only person who has struggled with all sorts of emotional eating. You might appreciate the Chicks in Control section where others have suffered with similar problems and are trying to take back the control in their lives.

We really do love to help support people on their journeys. We've all got different methods, but we want to see everyone lose weight healthfully and permanently.

In order to do that, we have to throw out the idea of dieting. Even if it means that this isn't a quick journey, it's a lot better to lose the weight once... than to continue what we used to do and yo-yo back and forth.

You can do this. You can make permanent changes. Best of wishes~
