Hi everyone! I stumbled across this forum a few days ago and it seemed perfect! I just got engaged a month ago (can't believe it's that long already!) and we're planning to get married October of 2012. As soon as we got engaged, my fiance said that he didn't want to get married until we are both happy with ourselves. He's not overweight at all, he just wants to tone up. I, on the other hand, am definitely overweight, obese if you ask my BMI. I'm 5'4" and was 181.5 lbs at the beginning of my weight loss (AKA last Monday). I just got a personal trainer and he's working me into the ground. I'm recording everything I eat and it's really helping. So far I've lost 4 pounds, currently at 177.5. My first mini-goal is to get down to a size 10 (from 14) so that I can start to shop for my wedding dress!

I'm really looking forward to posting on these forums and making friends that I can relate to (unlike my real life skinny friends)!

I'm new to this forum too! congratulations on your engagement and your amazing weight loss already! i'm 5ft 6 and currently weigh 153 lbs, this is by no means my heaviest but i need an extra boost to get me to my goal so thought this site might help. my first goal is to get to size 10 too . i've recently started running and would LOVE to run a half marathon at the end of september but training is DEFINITELY proving to be a challenge.

Good luck with your weight loss (and your fiance's). I'm excited about making friends on this site too!
