Default Setting up mini goals

Hello everyone,
I'm 21 years old and I'm ready to enjoy my youth. My pant size is 18, I weigh 220 lbs, and I'm through with this size. I swear my head is too small for how big my body is! Through this frustrating journey to lose weight, I would love advice, therefore I have a question; what is a healthy amount of weight i should lose in one week? I want to set weekly goals, but I want to be realistic. Thanks in advance for any helpful tips.

Go slow, so you can change your eating habits. Think..."I have to change my life style." I would think 1-2 pounds a week is a good goal.

I have lost and gained so much weight over my life time, I really do not know why I continue to play the game. I am so glad I found this site for the support and the accountability, that I need.

I am playing the game again...maybe, I can get it right this time. The last time I joined a support group, I lost 60 pounds!

I need to figure out how to be successful when I finally lose the weight.

I have to keep saying to myself.."it is a life style change." I am going to lose the weight, but it will be done slowly so I can learn the changes I need to make to lose the weight.

One to two pounds is definitely reasonable. I LOL'd when I read your post, because I feel the same way about my head, and have actually had that comment made before (which was rude, but it really is true!). I also have small hands and feet for my size. Although I generally have a large frame, those three things look ridiculous at my weight. Good luck with your goals!

Definitely better than a head to big for your body I agree with everyone else around 2 lbs a week, not going less than 1200 cal a day seems to be the safe/healthy amount. Glad you found this site, it definitely helps having a million friends for support! You can do it girl!! & we're all here to help!

I agree with everyone 1 or 2 lbs a week is the easiest and healthiest way. You may lose more some weeks and less others - but if you stick to a reasonable calorie intake it will all average out!

While I have found weight loss is more about diet - a bit of exercise is great for your health and it makes me calmer and happier!

Good luck - let us know when you have hit your first mini goal!! It will be sooner than you think

One to two pounds would be great. Keep in mind, some weeks, especially at first, you might drop faster. As you lose more and more weight, it may slow down, so don't be discouraged for that!
