Hi there

I am new to the forum and forums in general. I have a lot of weight to loose but I am determined this time and it is mainly for my health! I have polycystic ovary syndrome, which was diagnosed back in 2002. Since then we have not wanted to have children.
We then got married and have decided to have chldren, so off the contracptive i came and nothing!! So a couple of visits to the GP who put me forward for fertility treatment only for me to receive a phonecall yesterday telling me that they could not do anything to support until my BMI was within a healthy range.
Hence taking a look at my life and doing something to change it. I have read througha few posts before posting this everyone seems very supportive and kind and i am looking forward to being part of the community.

You're not alone. There's a 100lb Club for those looking to lose 100lbs or more. There's a PCOS section under Dieting with Obstacles. There are age-based support areas, and sections for people following certain plans.

The whole site is filled with supportive and knowledgeable members who truly want to see everyone reach their goals.
