Welcome to 3FC =)
You're in luck! Even though it's called "3FC on a diet" I don't see many members encouraging "diets".
Diets are ... restrictive, short-term, if you stumble you might as well give up, unsustainable for real life, get burnt out within a month. The list goes on and on.
The changes most members make around here are permanent. Lifestyle changes.
Okay, it might seem like a silly thing to say "it's not a diet it's a lifestyle change", but it's an important silly thing.
A diet has an end date.
A lifestyle change continues for the rest of our lives.
A diet is restrictive and makes us feel deprived.
A lifestyle change incorporates the things we want while teaching us moderation.
A diet has us thinking we fail when we make a mistake. We have to be "perfect" on a diet.
A lifestyle change allows us to pick ourselves up from a stumble and to make a better choice the very next meal.
You don't have to plunge into a bunch of changes the first week. You can take it one step at a time. Changing one thing each week until a few months down the line you're looking at food and activity in an entirely new light.
Commit to something the first week. And then follow through.
You can do this!
