First thing is you have to ask yourself if you are ready to work hard and commit to losing.
Second thing is I also love food but I've still managed to lose a decent amount of weight by cutting out junk, cooking more, moving more, and also taking the time to enjoy my food rather than stuff myself.
I'd research around and see what you think you can do- count calories or do south beach or another plan, but pick something you can definitely sustain.
Also if you have tried before but quit cuz things are too hard, it's easy to take it one step at a time, like first limit sugary drinks, then start walking more, then start cooking more at home, etc. I found for me making small changed made my changes last
