Good evening everyone,
I'm new to this thread, but not new to weight issues. To make a long story short, last May I went to my Primary doctor for a complete check-up on all my blood work. I was told I had high cholestrol and beginning stage of diabetic. I was afraid of this since I was told when I was 27 and pregnant with my son that I was gestational. I was approaching 39 and heavier than I had ever been before.
I immediately started watching what I was eating and walking. I managed to lose 34 pounds and slacked off. This makes the 2nd time within 10 years I've lost over 30 pounds and get comfortable with myself and let it all go by the weigh side.
I'm starting my journey again today and am looking for encouragement. I've gained about 14 pounds back so I'm still at a 20 pound loss, but I need to get back on track if I ever want to hit my goal. As of now, I'm needing to lose 44 more pounds.
I don't do any specific diets, I just watch what I eat. Portion control is my biggest thing and I try moving A LOT more by walking at least 30 minutes several times a week.
My hardest obstical is my son plays tournament baseball and I LOVE BALLPARK FOOD!! Sorry, but it's the truth!!! Please help me stay away from the concession stand and get myself back on track.
Thanks a bunch!
